That Time of the Year, which originally played the York in 2006, has lyrics by Laurence Holzman and Felicia Needleman and music by eight different composers: Sanford Marc Cohen, Nicholas Levin, Donald Oliver, Kyle Rosen, Brad Ross, Mark Wherry and Wendy Wilf. The limited presentation runs through Dec. 20.
Grisetti (Broadway Bound, Enter Laughing), Harada (Avenue Q, 9 to 5) and Beirne (Lizzie Borden) are joined by Kerri Jill Garbis and Thom Christopher Warren (The Lion King). Both Beirne and Garbis appeared in the 2007 cast of That Time of the Year.
Annette Jolles directs the York presentation with musical direction by Matt Castle. The revue comprises original holiday songs and features a cast of characters including "singing fruitcakes, a dancing dreidel and a very sexy Mrs. Claus," according to the York.
A two-disc recording of That Time of the Year, released by JAY records, is currently available in stores. Copies are also available in the York lobby.
