Emmy Award winner Bruce Vilanch will return to host the eighth annual Nightlife Awards Jan. 25, 2010, at Town Hall.

Vilanch, who also hosted the 2008 event, presides over the 7 PM awards ceremony and performance that will be directed by Scott Thompson. Villanch made his Broadway debut as Edna Turnblad in the Tony-winning musical Hairspray.

The Nightlife Awards honor the best of New York cabaret, comedy and jazz. Rather than delivering acceptance speeches, the respective winners perform as part of the event. Presenters will be announced shortly.

Tedd Firth will serve as musical director. Scott Siegel produces the annual event.

Tickets to the Nightlife Awards are now available by visiting the Town Hall box office (123 West 43rd Street), by calling (212) 307-4100 or by visiting Ticketmaster.com
