Off-Broadway's Our Town Tops New York Mag's "Best of Theater of 2009"

New York Magazine has posted its "The Best of Theater of 2009" year-end list. David Cromer's staging of Our Town Off-Broadway tops the ten productions highlighted.

Contributors Scott Brown, Dan Kois, Mary Kaye Schilling and Stephanie Zacharek are credited with the top ten list. Among the Broadway and Off-Broadway fare chosen were the St. Ann Warehouse run of Brief Encounter and Robert Wilson's staging of Quartett (part of BAM's Next Wave Festival).

Listed under "honorable mention" were the performances by Cate Blanchett in A Streetcar Named Desire and Janet McTeer in Mary Stuart.
