Keira Knightley and Damian Lewis star in Martin Crimp's new version of Moliere's The Misanthrope which plays London's Comedy Theatre.

This re-imagining of the classic work transports the action from 17th-century Paris to modern-day London. In this version, according to notes, "Alceste is a famous British playwright disillusioned and angry with the hypocrisy, shallowness and vanity of the contemporary world. Vowing to reject society, Alceste's plans are derailed when he falls madly in love with Jennifer. An ambitious American film star and darling of the social scene, she may prove to be his biggest challenge yet."

Thea Sharrock directs a cast that features Keira Knightley, Damian Lewis, Tara Fitzgerald, Dominic Rowan, Tim McMullan, Chuk Iwuji, Kelly Price and Nicholas Le Prevost.
