Stephanie J. Block will perform a one-night-only concert at the New Players Theatre in London Feb. 28, 2010, to benefit TheatreMAD.
The 9 to 5 and Wicked star will offer 6 PM and 8:30 PM concerts, which will have musical direction by Dominick Amendum. The singing actress will be backed by a four-piece band.
Block will offer hightlights from her solo debut recording "This Place I Know" and take audiences through her numerous stage roles. Special guests for the evening include Annalene Beechey and Oliver Tompsett.
In addition to her role as Judy Bernly in the recent Broadway musical 9 to 5, Block has appeared on Broadway in The Pirate Queen, The Boy from Oz and Wicked. Her performance in the national tour of the Stephen Schwartz musical earned the actress a Helen Hayes Award.
All proceeds benefit TheatreMAD, which serves as the West End counterpart to BC/EFA.
