Dog and Wolf, with Soules, Bowers and Daggett, Opens Off-Broadway Feb. 9

Dog and Wolf, a new world-premiere thriller by Catherine Filloux, officially opens Off-Broadway Feb. 9 after previews that began Feb. 5 at 59E59 Theaters.

Jean Randich (NAATCO's The Dispute) directs the production that runs through Feb. 21. Watson Arts presents the engagement.

The three-person cast includes Dale Soules (Hair, Grey Gardens), Nadia Bowers (The Farnsworth Invention, Doubt) and John Daggett (Killing the Boss).

Press notes for Dog and Wolf read: "When refugee Jasmina — an enigmatic woman traumatized by the death of family and the experience of mass graves – suddenly disappears, her wheelchair-bound attorney Joseph travels to Eastern Europe to track her down. With its underpinnings of psychological and political intrigue, Dog and Wolf poses the question, 'How can you live your life in fear?' The play draws its title from the French expression, 'Entre chien et loup,' which describes that time before night, when the light is so dim one can't tell a dog from a wolf."

The premiere has scenic and video design by Anna Kiraly, lighting design by Michael Chybowski, costume design by Alixa Gage Englund and sound design by Robert Murphy.

Filloux's plays include Lemkin's House, Eyes of the Heart, Killing the Boss, The Beauty Inside, Where Elephants Weep and The Floating Box: A Story in Chinatown.
