The current revival of Arthur Miller's A View From the Bridge has recouped its initial investment of $2.5 million, according to Variety.

The first ten weeks of the 14-week run have brought in about $7.2 million, states the industry paper.

The drama, which stars Liev Schreiber and Scarlett Johansson, will end April 4 as originally planned. Previews of Bridge, featuring direction by Gregory Mosher, began Dec. 28, 2009; opening night was Jan. 24, 2010.

In A View from the Bridge, press notes state, "Schreiber plays Eddie Carbone, a Brooklyn longshoreman obsessed with his 17-year-old niece Catherine, played by Scarlett Johansson. When Catherine falls in love with a newly arrived immigrant, Eddie's jealousy erupts in a rage that consumes him, his family, and his world."

The play is produced by Stuart Thompson and The Araca Group. Additional producers include Jeffrey Finn, Broadway Across America, Olympus Theatricals, Marisa Sechrest, The Weinstein Company, Jon B.
