Montalban, Rush and Foy Set for North Carolina Theatre's Cinderella

The production will run through April 18 in the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh. The cast will be headed by Paolo Montalban as Prince Christopher, Jessica Rush as Cinderella and Harriett D. Foy as Cinderella's Fairy Godmother.
The "Enchanted" version of the classic story features the famed Rodgers and Hammerstein score with an updated book by Tom Briggs and magical effects. Gabriel Barre, who mounted the national tour of Cinderella, will direct this production as well.
In a statement director Barre said, "What excites me most about this production is the fun and contemporary language, the stronger connection made between the Fairy Godmother and Cinderella, and the addition of a bit of spice and a lot of strength to the character of Cinderella."
