Charles Busch, Mario Cantone, Penny Fuller, Julie Halston, Jamie deRoy, Gregg Edelman, Karen Mason and more will be part of Primary Stages' concert series in Manhattan this spring.
Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers will also be a part of the upcoming series. Broadway composer Charles Strouse (Annie, Applause, Bye Bye Birdie) will be a special guest for the evening with Penny Fuller.
The series will take place April 25-May 1 at Primary Stages home at 59E59 Theaters. The one-week concerts of comedy and song have been added as part of the company's 25th anniversary season. Barry Kleinbort serves as director for the series.
All performances begin at 8 PM (unless otherwise noted). The Concert Series schedule is as follows:
April 25 – 7 PM: An Evening with Charles Busch & Julie Halston

April 28: Penny Fuller featuring special guest Charles Strouse
April 29: Karen Mason and Gregg Edelman

Primary Stages recently announced the presentation of Inner Voices: Solo Musicals, the premieres of two one-act shows Mosaic and Whida Peru: Resurrection Tangle, starring Judith Blazer and Heidi Blickenstaff. Jonathan Butterell directs the solos that will play April 2-24 at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters.
