Zinn told Playbill.com, "Our goal is to develop and workshop new plays into actual productions at the theatre. We hope to have our first production in the fall of this year."

Tony-nominated playwright Schisgal, who penned Luv and co-authored the screenplay "Tootisie" with Larry Gelbart, will be the first playwright to have his work showcased. The 8 PM reading will feature Perez, Reigert, Zien and Cynthia Mace. According to press notes, "Playtime is an absurdist tragicomedy about the financial shenanigans of our fervently industrious Wall Street entrepreneurs."

Playtime, among other titles, is a strong candidate for a full production at the Bleecker Street Theatre Company. "Certainly Murray's is one of them. We're hoping to develop the funding to do a full Off-Broadway production at the theatre," Zinn added.

Another aim of the Bleecker Street Theatre Company, according to Zinn, will be to "produce plays that would be easily adapted to the screen and that will bring in industry people from the film industry." Zinn's Rumspringa premiered at The Theatres at 45 Bleecker Street in 2009 and is currently being developed as a feature film.

The company will also host an April 13 playwrights symposium, featuring Schisgal, Israel Horovitz (The Indian Wants the Bronx, Line, North Shore Fish), Mario Fratti (Nine, The Cage, 28 Unpredictable Plays), Donna de Matteo (Our Son’s Wedding, Almost on a Runway) and Quincy Long (The Adventures of Por Quinly, The Johnstown Vindicator).
