New Musical A Moment in Time, Featuring John Denver Songs, to Premiere in June

A Moment in Time, a new musical that features songs from the catalogue of the late John Denver, will premiere at The Dix Hills Performing Arts Center in Dix Hills, NY, June 25-27.

Four-time Tony winning producer Stewart F. Lane will direct the production. The cast comprises professional actors and Theatre Arts students from the Five Towns College BFA Theatre Arts Program.

A Moment in Time concerns "a marine in Afghanistan who, moments before a battle, recalls a safer, happier place."

The musical features a book by director-producer Lane with words and music by Denver. The creative team includes scenic designer Luke Foco, costume designer Sherry Kfare, stage manager Michael Johnson Jr., lighting designer Gary Gifford and sound designer Matt Ragone. The project's orchestrator and musical director is Christine Riley.
