New Comedy White's Lies to Close June 13

The new Ben Andron comedy White's Lies, which features Tony winner Betty Buckley, Tuc Watkins and Peter Scolari, will play its final performance at New World Stages June 13. 

When it closes, the production, which officially opened May 6 following previews that began April 12, will have run 26 previews and 46 performances.

Producer Aaron Grant stated, "I’m very proud of the work we’ve accomplished with a sensational cast and creative team. Audiences have been responding with great enthusiasm and there’s already been talk of productions in Washington DC, Germany and a UK tour. We look forward to further developments, be they on stage, screen or television."

The cast also boasts Christy Carlson Romano, Rena Strober, Andrea Grano and Jimmy Ray Bennett.

"Some guys are scared stiff at the prospect of settling down, getting married, having kids and Joe White is no exception," according to White's Lies press notes. "He's a divorce lawyer, representing one of his many ex-girlfriends and above all else, he's a bachelor who wouldn't have it any other way. So when his mother desperately wants him to start a family, he'll do the next best thing: make one up! What could go wrong?"

The production features set design by Robert Andrew Kovach, lighting design by Solomon Weisbard, costume design by Michael Bevins, sound design by Nathan Leigh and video design by Ron Eyal.

Producers are Aaron Grant, Jeremy Handelman, Jana Robbins, Jeff Davis, Alan Laytner, Craig Haffner and Karl E. Held, with Sneaky Pete Productions.
