PHOTO CALL: Hair's Annaleigh Ashford at Birdland

Annaleigh Ashford, most recently seen as Jeanie in the Tony-winning revival of Hair, returned to the stage at Birdland on July 12 for a one-night cabaret engagement.

Musical directed by James Sampliner, the evening included a number of hit songs from the 60's and 70's including "When I'm 64" (The Beatles), "Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters" (Elton John), "Rocky Raccoon" (The Beatles) and many more.

Annaleigh Ashford made her Broadway debut originating the role of Margot in Legally Blonde and later assumed the role of Glinda in the New York company of Wicked. Ashford has also appeared in the tour of Wicked and in workshops of Catch Me If You Can, Pal Joey and Black Suits.
