"Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" to Play Radio City With 300 Musicians

Tickets are now on sale for the live-to-film performance of Howard Shore's Grammy Award-winning score for "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers," to be performed during a screening of the Academy Award-winning film at Radio City Music Hall Oct. 8 and 9.

Ludwig Wicki will direct over 300 musicians from the 21st Century Orchestra in the concert, which will also feature performances by the Brooklyn Youth Chorus and soprano Kaitlyn Lusk.

The concert follows the success of a similar presentation of the score for "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" in October 2009.

"The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers," originally released in 2002, is the second film in the acclaimed trilogy of films based on the classic J.R.R. Tolkien novels about the denizens of Middle-Earth. The film is directed by Peter Jackson and stars Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Sean Astin, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Billy Boyd, Christopher Lee, Dominic Monaghan, Viggo Mortensen, John Rhys-Davies, Liv Tyler and Hugo Weaving.
