"After extensive meetings with Paul, I felt and the board agreed that he is the man for the job," stated William Carden, producing artistic director of EST. "He is an experienced administrator who believes passionately in the work we do. We will be looking to him to bring the management leadership and fiscal accountability we need to secure the future of EST and fulfill our unique mission in serving our membership and developing new work. We all feel very fortunate to have him onboard."
EST is the resident professional New York City troupe perhaps best known for its annual Marathon of new one-act plays — recognized as one of the nation's major showcases of the one-act form.
