New York City's downtown theatre troupe Waterwell and Indiana University have partnered to workshop the musical that has a book by Jonathan A. Goldberg, music by Lauren Cregor Devine and lyrics by Devine, Goldberg and Tom Ridgely.

Presented Aug. 26-29 at the Wells-Metz Theatre in Bloomington, IN, Ridgely will also direct the musical that centers on railroad tycoon Jay Gould. George Pinney will choreograph with musical direction by Terry LaBolt.

Gelber (Avenue Q, All My Sons) will play Jim Fisk with Hernández (Kiss of the Spider Woman, Les Miserables) as Actor Manager, McNall (Playboy of the Western World, Misalliance) as Jay Gould and Parker (Wicked, Fame Becomes Me) as Victoria Woodhull.

According to the authors, "The Wizard of Wall Street is an all new musical about the life and times of financier/railroad executive Jay Gould, who was, according to Joseph Pulitzer, 'one of the most sinister figures that have ever flitted bat-like across the vision of the American people.' Known in his own time as the 'Mephistopheles of Wall Street' and throughout history as 'Robbingest of the Robber Barons,' Jay Gould's was one of the most spectacular and controversial careers in American business."
