Lawrence will appear in a multiple-episode arc as Julian's (Austin Nichols) mother, who will be involved in preparing his wedding to Brooke (Sophia Bush).

Best known for her work on "NYPD Blue," Lawrence appeared on Broadway in Chicago, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret and Zorba. She was recently part of the Off-Broadway cast of Love, Loss and What I Wore.

"One Tree Hill" premieres Sept. 14 on CW.
