Michael Lederer's Mundo Overloadus will receive its world premiere in a limited engagement at Performance Space 122 beginning Sept. 7.

Lederer will direct his 90-minute play about coping in a modern, technological world that will run through Sept. 12.

The cast will feature Dan Cozzens, Daniel Foley, Herbert Gould, Jake Hart, Laurel Holland, Arlene Kieta, Matthew LaSpata, Michael Lederer, Mark Turetsky, Carolyn McCandlish, Jess Peritz and Graham Sack.

Mundo Overloadus, according to press notes, "is about the attempt to preserve innocence in the face of a modern world where that seems practically impossible. We live in a world where we are constantly bombarded with information. At a time when we view life through screens of our monitors and mobiles and mp3 players, Mundo Overloadus lifts our social shields and tackles the trials of our 24-hour world."

The multimedia production will have designs by Gordon W. Brown (set design), Gianluca Baccanico (digital design), Steffan Niemann (video design), Mary Ellen Stebbins (lighting design), Suzanne du Charme (costume design) and Nate Putnam (sound design). The work is produced by Amy Stebbins.
