Following a limited run at the Riverside Theatre this past spring, Through the Night — written and performed by Daniel Beaty, who received an Obie Award for his solo play Emergence-See! — begins previews at Off-Broadway's Union Square Theatre Sept. 10.

Charles Randolph-Wright again directs. Opening night is scheduled for Sept. 26.

Through the Night, according to press notes, is the story of "six African-American males, ages 10-60, who discover the power of possibility through one extraordinary event."

The production features scenic, projection and lighting design by Alexander V. Nichols and sound design and original music by Lindsay Jones.

Through the Night premiered as a co-production with the Crossroads Theatre and The Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles.

Daryl Roth produces; Bill Cosby, Ruby Dee, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Phylicia Rashad are artistic ambassadors.

Tickets, priced $65, are available via Ticketmaster.com/(800) 982-2787.  Tickets  are also available in person at The Union Square Theatre Box Office (100 E. 17th Street).
