Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Ron Daniels, is part of the Shakespeare Festival, to play a repertory schedule May 29-Sept. 25, 2011, in the outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre.
The summer season at the San Diego resident theatre will also boast Hershey Felder in Maestro: The Art of Leonard Bernstein (July 15-Aug. 28, 2011) in the Old Globe Theatre. Preceding Bernstein is a ten-day limited engagement of pianist-actor-playwright Hershey Felder in George Gershwin Alone (July 1-10, 2011).
The West Coast premiere of John Morogiello's romantic comedy, Engaging Shaw, in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre will complete the season, running July 29-Sept. 4, 2011.
Engaging Shaw is billed by Old Globe executive producer Lou Spisto as "a perceptive account of the real life romance between playwright George Bernard Shaw and socialite Charlotte Payne-Townshend that is very literate and entertaining."
Tickets to the Globe's 2011 Summer Season are currently available by subscription only at www.TheOldGlobe.org, by phone at (619) 23-GLOBE or by visiting the box office.
