PHOTO CALL: The Scottsboro Boys Greet the Media with Song and Dance

The cast and creative team of The Scottsboro Boys appeared at a press event on Oct. 6 to offer a glimpse of the show in its Broadway incarnation before beginning previews on Oct. 7 at the Lyceum Theatre.

According to producers, the musical by Fred Ebb, John Kander and David Thompson is "based on the notorious 'Scottsboro' case in the 1930s (in which nine African-American men were unjustly accused of a terrible crime). ...This daring and wildly entertaining musical explores a fascinating chapter in American history with brilliant originality."
