Donny & Marie Will Celebrate Christmas Season on Broadway

Donny & Marie - A Broadway Christmas, a new holiday production starring brother and sister Donny and Marie Osmond, will play 12 performances at Broadway's Marquis Theatre Dec. 9-19. Tickets go on sale 10 AM Oct. 20.

The show is "in the holiday tradition of the 'Osmond Family Christmas' television specials," according to the producers. This marks the first time the concert, TV and recording stars — internationally famous for their 1970s variety show, recordings and recent appearances on "Dancing With the Stars" — have shared a Broadway stage.

Expect "their trademark show-stopping Christmas production numbers," including "favorite hits mixed with the irresistible chemistry that made them international stars."

Donny & Marie - A Broadway Christmas is produced by Greg Young, Jon B. Platt and Magic Arts & Entertainment in association with Eric Gardner and Greg Sperry.

Donny Osmond began his career in entertainment at the age of five, and by 13 had already collected 18 gold records, eventually earning a grand total of 33 throughout his career, with sales of over 80 million albums. He starred in Andrew Lloyd Weber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat for a six years and 2,000 performances. He starred on Broadway as Gaston in Beauty & The Beast, hosted two television series on British network television, was a special correspondent for Entertainment Tonight’s coverage of "Dancing With the Stars" featuring his sister Marie. He was the "Dancing With the Stars" champion in the fall of 2009.

Marie Osmond returns Broadway after making her Broadway debut in 1997 as Anna in The King and I. She also toured the world as Maria in The Sound of Music in the 1990s. She first appeared on "The Andy Williams Show" at age three, going on to star on the award-winning "Donny and Marie" musical-variety series at age 15. It ran for four seasons, guest-starred the biggest names in entertainment, and was dubbed into 17 languages. The siblings also appeared on The "Donny & Marie" talk show (1998-2000). She was a finalist on TV's "Dancing With the Stars" on season five. She had a No. 1 Billboard single ("Paper Roses") at age 13, followed by hit duet songs with Donny.

The playing schedule for Donny & Marie - A Broadway Christmas is as follows: Monday at 7 PM, Tuesday at 6:30 PM, Thursday through Saturday at 8 PM, with matinees Saturday at 2 PM and Sunday at 3 PM.
