Sir Ian McKellen hosts the 11th annual gala to benefit Only Make Believe, the non-profit organization that creates and performs interactive theatre for children in hospitals and care facilities, Nov. 1 at Broadway's Shubert Theatre.
The evening, which begins at 7 PM, features the casts of Memphis and Billy Elliot: The Musical as well as Stephen Buntrock, Josh Lucas, Brad Oscar, Seth Rudetsky and The Glamazons.
The benefit even, also titled Only Make Believe, will feature the presentation of the James Hammerstein Award to Laura Armitage "for her outstanding dedication to children in need both on a local and global level" and the presentation of the Founders' Award to philanthropist and author Cathy Lasry for her "exceptional commitment to children’s causes."

Only Make Believe was founded in 1999 by Dena Hammerstein, in memory of her husband James Hammerstein.
