Saturday Night Underground, the new variety show hosted by director Ben Rimalower at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, will continue Jan. 26.

The series, which features interviews with and performances by a host of New York personalities, begins at 11 PM. Those scheduled to be part of the upcoming three-hour evening include Rent's Anthony Rapp, Look Ma...No Ears' Lindsey Alley, The Little Mermaid's Bret Shuford and Soce the Elemental Wizard.

Matt Castle will be the pianist for the evening, which will also include an appearance by the "girl group" The Dreams.

Audience members are also invited to be part of the Underground — attendees can sing, tell a joke or, as a press release states, "complain about a bad date."

In New York Ben Rimalower has directed The Fabulous Life of a Size Zero; Joy; Snoopy!; And/or; Sodom the Musical; Look Ma, No Ears and staged readings for Second Stage, The York and EST. He also conceived and directed the award-winning Leslie Kritzer Is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Café at 407 West 42nd Street at Ninth Avenue. There is no cover charge.
