Ellen Foley, Ann Harada, Thursday Farrar Set for Reading of Slow Dance With a Hot Pick-Up Musical

The reading will feature the talents of Ellen Foley, Ann Harada, Thursday Farrar, Robert Petkov, Michael Holland and Tom Riis Farrell.
Slow Dance With a Hot Pick-Up was penned by John Pielmeier (Agnes of God and Boys of Winter) with a score by Emmy Winner Matty Selman.
"The characters, of all ages, ethnicities, and temperaments, strut, scrap, fall in love, and, along with the audience, collapse in laughter, excitement and exhaustion," press notes state, "while still holding on to and hoping to take home their dream of a hot pick-up truck."
"It's a slice of the American Pie," states John Pielmeier, "just not too neat a slice." "There is something for everyone to love in this celebration of the American hero, and the American musical," adds Matty Selman.
This musical will open at the Boulders Theater in September.
