PHOTO CALL: Tom Hanks, Kristin Chenoweth, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and More Honor Julie Andrews at "Backstage at the Geffen"

Stage and screen icon Julie Andrews and powerhouse entertainment agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA) were honored at this year’s "Backstage at the Geffen" fundraiser May 2.

The playhouse's annual event recognizes leadership in the theater community while raising awareness of the Geffen Playhouse’s education and outreach programs.

Ms. Andrews received the Distinction in Theatre Award for her commitment to the arts while CAA received the Distinction in Service Award for the company's philanthropic spirit and generous support of the Geffen Playhouse.

Carol Burnett, friend of Ms. Andrews and fellow stage legend, presented Ms. Andrews with the evening's honor while Tom Hanks presented CAA with their honor which was accepted by David O’Connor and Rob Light on behalf of the agency.
