Prior to the Chicago run, which will play through Sept. 10, Colin Quinn: Long Story Short is set for engagements in East Hampton (June 8-26), Philadelphia (June 28-July 10) and Montreal (July 29).
The 75-minute solo comedy, directed by Golden Globe Award-winning comedian Jerry Seinfeld, arrived on Broadway Oct. 22, 2010, after an extended run Off-Broadway last summer. Long Story Short officially opened Nov. 9, 2010, and twice-extended its Broadway run before closing March 5.
Eva Price and Richard Martini produced the Broadway production, which aired on HBO April 9.
Quinn began as a writer on "SNL" in 1995 and was a featured player on the late-night show through 1998, when he became a full-time cast member. He departed "SNL" in 2000. He made his Broadway debut with Colin Quinn: An Irish Wake in 1998.
The production has scenic and projection designs by David Gallo, lighting design by Howell Binkley and sound design by Christopher "Kit" Bond. Hal Brooks serves as creative consultant.
