"Out of Oz," the final installment in Gregory Maguire's take on the classic "The Wizard Of Oz" tale, will be released this fall, according to the Associated Press.

The new tome is due Nov. 1 from William Morrow.

"Out of Oz," which follows Maguire's "Wicked," "Son of a Witch" and "A Lion Among Men," "will feature all sorts of magical mayhem, with the Emerald City plotting an attack on Munchkinland, while the Cowardly Lion runs for his life. Young Dorothy pops in for 'something more than a cameo,'" according to AP.

Wicked, which varies slightly from the original Maguire novel, continues to play Broadway's Gershwin Theatre.
