Directed by Robert Ribar, the production explores "unrequited lust and sexual taboos through a darkly comic queer aesthetic." Performances continue through Oct. 16.
The cast is headed by Davi Santos in the title role with Danny Baird, Daniel DeStefano, Francisco Huergo, John C. Hume, Frankie LaPace, Nick Moore, Eugene Michael Santiago and Ian Schulz.
The play, according to press notes, "follows Salome, the spoiled step-daughter of Herod, ruler of Judea, and her quest to obtain the affections of a feared prophet by any means necessary, including her infamous Dance of the Seven Veils."
The Secret Theater is located at 44-02 23rd Street, Long Island City. For more information visit femmefataletheater.tumblr.com. For tickets, priced $15-$18, go to www.secrettheatre.com.
