"Little Shop of Horrors" Screens at NYC's Museum of the Moving Image Beginning Oct. 29

"Little Shop of Horrors," the 1986 movie musical directed by Frank Oz, will be screened at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, Queens, Oct. 29-30 in conjunction with the museum's Jim Henson's Fantastic World exhibition.

The film, featuring Rick Moranis and Ellen Greene, centers on down-and-out floral assistant Seymour Krelborn (Moranis) who discovers a man-eating plant, Audrey II, an elaborate puppet created by Henson Creature Shop alumnus Lyle Conway.

The screenings, free with admission to the museum, are held Oct. 29 at 1 PM and 4 PM and Oct. 30 at 1 PM.

Oz, known for creating characters such as Miss Piggy and Cookie Monster, is also the director of such films as "The Muppets Take Manhattan," "Death at a Funeral," "In & Out" and "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels."
