Jones, a Tony winner for Spring Awakening and Fela!, will direct his latest piece that will run through Jan. 29, 2012, in the Alexander Kasser Theater.
Jones, who choreographed the piece with Janet Wong, will also appear in the production alongside members of his company. Story/Time will have text by Jones, music by Ted Coffey, production design by Bjorn Amelan, lighting design by Robert Wierzel and costume design by Liz Prince.
Here's how the work is billed: "Story/Time finds Jones engaging in the beloved form of storytelling, offering glancing takes on ideas, feelings and impressions from his life. Inspired by John Cage’s Indeterminacy, a performance of ninety one-minute stories, Jones creates a landscape of dance, music, and his own stories, arranged by chance procedure."
