The event, for Kids' Night on Broadway ticketholders, will launch at 2:30 PM at Madame Tussauds New York (234 W. 42nd Street). Following the kick-off, the fanfest will proceed from 3 PM-6 PM.
Kids' Night, which is presented by the Broadway League, allows kids ages 6 to 18 to see Broadway shows for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult. The ticket includes pre-theatre parties, restaurant discounts, parking discounts, educational programs and more.
Kids’ Night on Broadway tickets are available for participating shows through Feb. 9.
Charlotte St. Martin, executive director of The Broadway League, added, "We know that experiencing live theatre at a young age creates a lifelong habit of theatre-going. Broadway not only educates kids about the world at large, but teaches tolerance, social justice, cultural identity, and more. Kids' Night on Broadway is a fun way to introduce them to the magic found on stage.”
Participating shows follow: Anything Goes, Chicago, The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, Godspell, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Jersey Boys, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, Memphis, The Phantom of the Opera, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Rock of Ages, Seminar, Sister Act, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Wicked, Wit, Avenue Q, The Gazillion Bubble Show, Freckleface Strawberry, Million Dollar Quartet, RENT, Stomp and Traces.
Kids’ Night on Broadway tickets are also on sale at the Broadway Concierge & Ticket Center, which is located inside the Times Square Visitor Center at 1560 Broadway (on the 7th Avenue side of Duffy Square).
