When it closes, the production will have played 23 previews and 56 regular performances.
The play opened March 24 following previews that began Feb. 28. The limited engagement was originally scheduled to run through July 5. Critics did not embrace the play.
Impressionism is billed as being about an international photojournalist and a New York gallery owner "who discover each other and also that there might be an art to repairing broken lives."
Impressionism's creative team includes Scott Pask (scenic design), Catherine Zuber (costume design), Natasha Katz (lighting design), Elaine McCarthy (projection design) and Leon Rothenberg (sound design). Original music is by Bob James.
