Geffen Playhouse veterans Jane Kaczmarek ("Malcolm in the Middle") and Jon Tenney ("The Closer") play former high school lovers in the West Coast premiere of David Lindsay-Abaire's Good People, opening April 11 following previews from April 3 in Los Angeles.
Shakman is the artistic director of L.A.'s Black Dahlia Theatre. The run plays to May 13.
"Kaczmarek takes on the role of Margie, while Tenney plays her old flame, Mike, who has moved on and married Kate, played by Boothe," according to Geffen notes. "Botsford, Burke and Fleischer bring the South Boston community to life as Margie’s friends Jean and Dottie and her former boss, Stevie."
The L.A. production team includes set designer Craig Siebels, costume designer E.B. Brooks, lighting designer Elizabeth Harper, sound designer Jonathan Snipes, production stage manager Jill Gold and assistant stage manager Kyra Hansen.
