Maya Days, Sebastian Arcelus, Saycon Sengbloh, Anika Larsen Will Raise the Roof! at Joe's Pub

A host of theatre artists will join forces April 30 at Joe's Pub for a concert to benefit the rebuilding efforts of the original Weathervane Theatre, whose historic New Hampshire barn was destroyed in a fire last season.

The evening, which is entitled Raise the Roof! Recover, Rebuild, Rejoice!, will begin at 9:30 PM.

Currently scheduled to appear are Maya Days, Sebastian Arcelus, Saycon Sengbloh, Tom D’Angora, Anika Larsen, Charlie Alterman, Bryonha Parham, Kelly McCeary, Josh Tower, Kevin Smith Kirkwood, Tally Sessions and Nicole Lewis.

“Losing the Old Barn was a great loss, both to our theater in New Hampshire and to our extended Weathervane family in New York City,” said artistic director Jacques Stewart in a statement. “We typically hire our company of 11 actors from New York’s large pool of union talent. When our Alumni Association heard about the fire, the response was immediate. This benefit on April 30th will ensure our 2012 summer season goes up without a hitch on July 7th.”
