How to Succeed... EP, With Nick Jonas, Will Get May Release On Broadway Records Label

A new five-track Broadway cast album EP of the 50th anniversary revival of How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, featuring current star Nick Jonas, will be released May 8 from Broadway Records.

Six-time Grammy nominee Robert Sher, who also produced the Grammy-nominated revival cast album featuring original cast member Daniel Radcliffe, produced the new EP, which was recorded Feb. 19.

The album will first be available at the Hirschfeld Theatre beginning May 1. Pre-orders are now available at Amazon.com.

Jonas took on the leading role of J. Pierrepont Finch Jan. 24. He is the third leading man to take on the role of Finch in the 50th anniversary revival of How to Succeed. "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe opened the production in March 2011 for a ten-month run, and was succeeded by "Glee" actor Darren Criss, who concluded a limited, three-week engagement Jan. 22. Primarily known as one of the Jonas Brothers, the hit band he formed with his two siblings in 2005, Jonas started his Broadway career in the revival of Annie Get Your Gun, made his West End stage debut as Marius in Les Miserables in 2010 and was part of the Hollywood Bowl staging of Hairspray as Link Larkin.

The principal cast also features Emmy, Golden Globe and Grammy Award winner Beau Bridges (Who's Who in Hell, The Trial of the Catonsville Nine, "The Descendants," "The Fabulous Baker Boys") as J.B. Biggley, Emmy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Tammy Blanchard (Gypsy, "Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows") as office bombshell Hedy La Rue, Rose Hemingway (Parade at the Mark Taper Forum) in her Broadway debut as Rosemary Pilkington, Michael Urie ("Ugly Betty," Angels In America, The Temperamentals) as Bud Frump, Rob Bartlett (Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors) as Twimble/Wally Womper, Mary Faber (American Idiot, Avenue Q) as Smitty, Ellen Harvey (Thou Shalt Not, The Music Man) as Miss Jones and Michael Park (Middletown) as Bert Bratt.

How to Succeed opened on Broadway March 27, 2011, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. The musical has a score by Frank Loesser, with a book by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert. Tony Award winner Rob Ashford directed and choreographed the production.
