The 7 PM event at the Highline Ballroom will feature songs by Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson composer Michael J. Friedman, which will center on High Line co-founder Robert Hammond and the creation of The High Line – New York City's elevated park. Hammond is being celebrated at the gala with the first-ever The Civilian of the Year Award.
The performance also promises favorite Civilians songs and scenes from past shows as well as material from current projects. Artistic director Steven Cosson will stage the show.
In addition to Conlee (The Full Monty), Jenkins (Merrily We Roll Along) and Jones (American Idiot), the evening will include Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Matthew Dellapina, Dan Domingues, Daoud Heidami, Nina Hellman, Kelly McCreary, Greg McFadden, Caitlin Miller, Jennifer R. Morris, Maria Elena Ramirez, Jeanine Serralles, Robbie Collier Sublett and Sam Breslin Wright.
The Civilians' You Better Sit Down: Tales from My Parents' Divorce is currently running at the Flea Theatre through May 6.
