The season will open with David Mamet's political satire November, running Aug. 24-Sept. 23. John Tyson will star as the inept president who aims for a second term in office. Arthur Miller's acclaimed drama Death of a Salesman will follow Sept. 28-Oct. 28, with James Black as Willy Loman.
The Mountaintop, Hall's two-person work about Martin Luther King Jr.'s encounter with an ethereal stranger the night before his murder, will run Jan. 11-Feb. 3, 2013. Norris' Clybourne Park, which puts Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun into a new dramatic racial context, will be staged Jan. 18-Feb. 17, 2013.
Aaron Sorkin's popular drama A Few Good Men, about two Marines accused in the hazing death of a fellow soldier, will run March 1-24, 2013. Following will be The Elephant Man, Bernard Pomerance's poignant work about the life of John Merrick, which will be presented April 12-May 5, 2013.
Jeffrey Hatcher's new detective thriller, Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Suicide Club, based on on Robert Louis Stevenson's "The Suicide Club," will premiere May 24-June 23, 2013.
The 2012 holiday productions include A Christmas Carol (Nov. 16-Dec. 24); and David Sedaris' The Santaland Diaries (Nov. 24-Dec. 30).
