Tony Award-winning actresses Stockard Channing (nominated again for her current performance in Other Desert Cities) and Laura Benanti star in a one-night only reading of Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies’ Collected Stories May 7 at 7 PM at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.
The evening benefits Opening Act, an innovative nonprofit that provides free after-school theatre programming to New York City’s most under-served public high schools.
Directed by Broadway veteran Michael Mastro, Collected Stories, according to press notes, "chronicles the relationship between a renowned New York author and her protégé." Playwright Margulies will be in attendance.
