VINTAGE PLAYBILL: Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, 1949

Playbill.com continues its new series looking back at vintage Playbills with one from the 1949 production of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, the musical that is currently being revived by City Center Encores! through May 13.

The City Center production stars Megan Hilty as Lorelei Lee, the role originated on Broadway by Carol Channing.

The original production began its 740-performance run Dec. 8, 1949, at the since-demolished Ziegfeld Theatre.
