Muny Chicago to Feature Patti Murin, Natascia Diaz, Justin Guarini, Jackie Hoffman, Patti Cohenour

Principal casting has been announced for the St. Louis Muny's upcoming production of the award-winning John Kander and Fred Ebb musical Chicago.

Directed and choreographed by Denis Jones, the musical will play the famed outdoor venue June 25-July 1.

The cast will be headed by Patti Murin and Natascia Diaz as Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, respectively. They will be joined by Justin Guarini as Billy Flynn, Jackie Hoffman as Mama Morton, Patti Cohenour as Mary Sunshine and Dean Christopher as Amos Hart.

Based on the play by the same name, Chicago features a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb.



The upcoming production will feature scenic design by Sam and Steve Gilliam, sound design by Jason Krueger, lighting design by Seth Jackson and costume design by Andrea Lauer. Charlie Alterman serves as the musical director, and the production stage manager is Harold Goldfaden.

The "direction and choreography, along with the scenic design, is specifically created to fit the unique scope of the Muny stage and audience," according to press notes.
