The season will open June 21-July 7 with Ken Ludwig's operatic farce Lend Me a Tenor, directed by Hangar artistic director Peter Flynn. The cast will include Skinner (Side Show, Billy Elliott), as well as Michael McCormick (Elf, Curtains, Kiss of the Spider Woman), Janet Dacal (Wonderland, In the Heights), Daniel Berlingeri, Lindsay Clemmons, Eddie Vona and Judy Levitt.
As previously reported by Playbill.com, original Titanic Broadway cast members Alma Cuervo, William Youmans and Drew McVety will again set sail in the Tony Award-winning Maury Yeston-Peter Stone musical at the Hangar July 12-28. Original cast member Don Stephenson, who portrayed Charles Clarke in the 1997 Broadway production, directs the new intimate staging that uses a cast of 20 (pared down from the original 40) and projections to tell the epic story. Choreography is by Liza Gennaro.
Cuervo will play Ida Strauss, with Youmans as Ismay, McVety as Etches, Christianne Tisdale (On A Clear Day...) as Alice Beane, Phillip Hoffman as Edgar Beane, Joneil Joplin as Captain Smith and Cuccioli (Jekyll & Hyde) as Andrews.
Hoty (The Will Rogers Follies, Follies) will star in Mark Hampton and Mary Louise Wilson's one-woman play Full Gallop, based on the life of Diana Vreeland, which will run Aug. 2-11 under Flynn's direction.
The Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Next to Normal, by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, will run Aug. 16-Sept. 1. Andréa Burns (In the Heights, Songs for a New World) and Chris Hoch (La Cage Aux Folles, Shrek the Musical, Spamalot) will co-star as Diana and Dan Goodman, respectively. Tracy Brigden directs a cast that also features Bryan Terrell Clark, Adam Fontana, Alison McCarten and Noah Plomgren.
The final production will be Horton Foote's The Trip to Bountiful, running Sept. 13-22. Susannah Berryman will lead that cast that also features Eric T. Miller, Dane C. Cruz, Oberon K.A. Adjepong, Kelly McAndrew, Cristina Gatti and Vincent Hannam.
