Carol Burnett Honored June 4 at Backstage at the Geffen, Hosted by "Glee" Star Jane Lynch

Tony Award winner Carol Burnett is among the honorees at Backstage at the Geffen, which is held June 4 at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. Emmy Award-winning "Glee" star Jane Lynch hosts.

At the annual fundraiser, which is scheduled to begin at 7 PM, Burnett will receive the Distinction in Theater Award. Also honored at Backstage is Fox Filmed Entertainment chairman and CEO Jim Gianopulos, who will be presented with the Distinction in Service Award by Oscar winner Warren Beatty.

Burnett, who received a Special Tony Award in 1969, was nominated for her performances in Once Upon a Mattress and Moon Over Buffalo. She has also been seen on Broadway in Hollywood Arms, Putting It Together and Fade Out – Fade In. Read more about Burnett's theatrical history at the Playbill Vault.

Backstage at the Geffen supports the theatre's artistic and outreach initiatives. The evening's honorary co-chairs are Robert A. Iger and Willow Bay; Dr. Judith Reichman is the Geffen committee chair.
