The 7 PM concert, billed What You Find in a Bottle, promises original folk songs by Kennedy. The actress will be backed by musicians Rick Fox, Kevin Ramessar and Jaz Sealey, who also appear in Superstar, as well as musician Michele Fox.
The concert will also include appearances by Superstar leading men Paul Nolan, who plays Jesus, and Josh Young, who earned a 2012 Tony Award nomination for playing Judas.
Kennedy originated the role of Mary Magdalene in the Broadway revival of Superstar, which began life at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario last summer. She also starred in the title role of the Stratfrod production of Evita. Superstar, which will end its run July 1, marks her Broadway debut.
