Tony Winner Alice Ripley Takes Part in 54 Below's Backstage Series July 8

Tony Award winner Alice Ripley, who was last seen Off-Broadway in Wild Animals You Should Know, is the special guest star July 8 at 54 Below's weekly Backstage event.

Backstage, which is held from 5-7 PM, is "where the theatre community can convene to relax and unwind - have a cocktail, enjoy the food of Chef Andre Marrero, and maybe get up and sing," according to press notes.

Backstage is hosted by Brooks Ashmanskas (The Producers, The Ritz, Gypsy), Ann Harada (Avenue Q, Seussical, 9 to 5) and Susie Mosher (Hairspray).

Ripley, who won a Tony for her performance in Next to Normal, has also appeared on Broadway in Side Show, The Rocky Horror Show, James Joyce's The Dead, Sunset Boulevard and The Who's Tommy.
