Theatre favorite Lauren Kennedy directs husband Alan Campbell in David Mamet's Race, which plays the Kennedy Theater in Raleigh, NC, through Aug. 5. A photographer as well as an actor, singer and director, Kennedy shares some behind-the-scenes photos from her point of view.

"Though my husband and I have performed together numerous times, this is the first time I have ever directed him... and I am happy to report we are not headed for divorce court," said Kennedy. "Alan and I have spent the last 4 years splitting time between New York City and Raleigh, NC, where we run our theatre company Hot Summer Nights. It has truly become our passion and we can't wait to produce more fabulous theatre and bring awesome artists to our stage."
