Pinkins, who won a Tony Award for her performance in Jelly's Last Jam and is a Tony nominee for Caroline, Or Change and Play On!, appears in Goddess Hair and Nail Salon, one of the eight selected 10-minute plays in the series of new work.
Anita Gillette (The Big Meal at Playwrights Horizons) and Joyce Cohen (John Ferguson at The Mint Theatre) star in St. Augustine, FLA.
Additionally, Spook, a one-act play inspired by Maya Angelou's poem "Willie," is shown all three days. Written and directed by Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj, it features Kayla Aimable, Amelia Pedlow, Derric Harris (A Free Man of Color) and Jonas Goslow.
