Directed by Matt Lenz (associate director Hairspray, Catch Me If You Can), the 8 PM concert features Nicholas Rodriguez (Tarzan), Tituss Burgess (The Little Mermaid), Craig D'Amico (Fiddler on the Roof), Deidre Goodwin (Chicago), Spencer Liff ("So You Think You Can Dance"), Matthew Scott (Jersey Boys), Kirsten Scott (Follies), Nikki Snelson (Legally Blonde) and Tony Vincent ("The Voice," American Idiot) alongside a talented roster of Philadelphia-area BDF students.
Audiences can expect to hear selections from the 2012 Tony Award-winning musical Once, Matilda, We Will Rock You and the catalogue of Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, who taught master classes throughout the week.
The Broadway Dreams Foundation training program also offered week-long summer performance intensives in Omaha and Atlanta. BDF students receive training in acting, dance and vocal performance before participating alongside Broadway performers in concert events open to the public.
The Broadway Dreams Foundation summer intensive program offers significant scholarships to hundreds of students each year, ensuring them to "realize their Broadway Dreams regardless of their financial status." For more information, visit MyBroadwayDreams.com.
As previously reported, BDF will be the subject of a new reality-based television show, tentatively named "Broadway Dreams," which follows hundreds of Broadway hopefuls.
