Season highlights include the Pacific Northwest Ballet performing George Balanchine's Apollo, Agon, The Four Temperaments and Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux (Sept. 9-10); New York City Ballet's world premiere of Justin Peck's new work, featuring music by singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens (Sept. 23-24); and the American Ballet Theatre's highlights of choreographer Alexei Ratmansky's work (Sept. 30-Oct. 1).
Director Robert Lepage and artists from the Metropolitan Opera will offer highlights from The Tempest (Oct. 8); and Anne Bogart's SITI Company will present a reading of Pablo Picasso's surrealist play Desire Caught by the Tail, about the hardships of WWII (Oct. 14-15).
The Minnesota Opera production of Doubt, featuring a score by Douglas J. Cuomo and a libretto by Shanley, will be highlighted with performances and a discussion with the creative team (Nov. 4-5).
The Peter B. Lewis Theater at the Guggenheim Museum is located at 1071 Fifth Avenue at 89th Street in Manhattan.
