PHOTO CALL: Andréa Burns, Chris Hoch and Nehal Joshi Star in Hangar's Next to Normal

The Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Next to Normal, by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, will run through Sept. 1 at the Ithaca venue. Andrea Burns (In the Heights, Songs for a New World) and Chris Hoch (La Cage aux Folles) co-star as Diana and Dan Goodman, respectively.

Tracy Brigden directs a cast that also features Nehal Joshi, Adam Fontana, Alison McCarten and Noah Plomgren.

The nearly sung-through rock musical examines a woman struggling with bipolar disorder and depression, as her family strains to hold its center. It takes a candid look at prescription drug abuse, suicide, grief and the notion of what a "normal" American family really is.
